17 Dec 11 Creating A Safer Home

How do you make your home even safer than what it is at the minute? Well, the fact is that the majority of houses are not even truly that safe and secure. You may think that locking the doors and the accessible windows at night will be enough to deter any criminal activity however it isn’t always the case and many modern day thieves will know just how to penetrate this system. Ignoring the Vivint BBB for a minute and instead concentrating on your home security and if you take a quick look at some of the 21st century options in terms of home security and home automation then you can see how the technology really has progressed in recent years.

For a start, having video surveillance is no longer considered a luxury or something for the well off private properties or commercial estates to have; it is, instead, a common thing to have in many homes and you can really benefit from it. For a start it has the effect of deterring crime in the first place as most people will be instantly put off from trying to enter a property that has recording devices and secondly it means you can keep an eye on your home from whenever you are.

Vivint home automation means that you can effectively view the live feed of your CCTV from any computer whether you be at work or even on holiday ensuring that you can also know your home is safe and secure. Beyond this you can look to other advanced options like motion sensor to detect any suspicious movement and even things like glass break detectors that can set off an alarm when a window is broken. All in all you can combine these to create the most secure package to suit your home.

27 Nov 11 Delivering Bottled Water

Out of all the possible career choices I could have made, I would never have guessed that I would be a bottled water delivery person, but here I am.  In fact, I have been delivering water for nearly four years now and I can’t believe it.  Originally, I had planned to study Electrical Engineering at college, but after my father passed away, I needed to find a job to help support my mother.  Now, four years later, I am still delivering bottled water.

I know that it certainly wasn’t my first career choice by any means, but I like what I do.  After working part-time in college at a shop that did air conditioner repair Henderson, I made many contacts.  Working out in the field repairing air conditioners gets you in touch with many people.  I made a great first impression on many of them, and particularly one owner of a bottled water company here in town, who made me the offer that if I ever needed a job that I could have one with his firm.  I didn’t think much of it at the time, but little did I know that I would be working there at some point in the future.

While I was on track to becoming an Electrical Engineer, my father passes away suddenly in his sleep and my whole world was changed.  All of a sudden, I was the oldest man in my family, and my mother needed someone to take care of her.  She had a lot on her plate already, raising my four other siblings, so I did my part and became the bread winner of the household.

Now, four years later, my youngest sister is just about done with school and I really have to decide what I am going to do with my life.  I don’t know if I will just keep delivering water or go back to school – I haven’t decided yet.  Needless to say it is strange where life can lead you – despite the winding road I have been on, I will have to admit I am happy.

10 Nov 11 Insure Yourself Against Rent Payment Failures

When you rent out a property to anyone (whether it is family or friends or, indeed, a complete stranger) you are always carrying an element of risk with you. This is especially true if it is someone whom you do not know however you can reduce some of this risk and liability and, instead, shift it onto an insurance company who will, for a price, assume some of the responsibility. One of the gripes that many landlords have is that some of their tenants often do not pay their rent on time and sometimes they do not pay at all or refuse to pay.

Thousands of landlords have to waste their time by hounding their tenants to cough up the money that they owe and this can often turn out to be unsuccessful. That being said, it is not the end of the matter as some types of landlord insurance can help to cover you in the event of this happening. A ‘rent guarantee’ insurance will help to protect you, as the landlord, against the failure of your tenants to pay rent. It is often used extensively by private landlords as opposed to those who pay money and go through a letting agency. Private landlords often do not have as strict a criteria for whom they rent to and, as such, have a much better chance of picking up ‘rogue tenants’ or tenants who will fail to pay their rent on time or sometimes not at all.

This type of insurance cover will help you get back your unpaid rent should one or several of the people you let to fail to keep up their monthly payments. In fact, if the matter ends up going to court and you have to remove the tenants by legal means then you can also claim expenses for this as well.

01 Jul 11 Use Leads To Run An Emailing Campaign

Nowadays, everyone is using the Internet to get in contact with new clients. From opt-in mailing lists to offering free product, marketers will do just about anything to get a working email address for an interested party. Although this method of marketing is quite successful for some, others have been completely left behind. You might have been late to catch on to this new marketing trend, but you can quickly catch up.

If you don’t have a list of email addresses you can procure one by purchasing a sweepstake lead list. This will give you the chance to get in contact with new customers, but more importantly you will have the opportunity to see how they respond to your communications. Try split testing your sales letters and offering limited time offers. You might need to make quite a few changes to your offers, but eventually you will get it right.

Sending your customers and prospective clients emails on a regular basis is a great way to keep your company relevant. You can even find out what your competitors are up to by signing up for their mailing lists. It will take you several tries before you are able to find a winning combination, but sending electronic communications will help you to save your company a lot of money. Get a better response to your offers than you ever anticipated simply by using the Internet. Not only will your postage costs be reduced, your profits will be better than they have ever been.
